Washington, D.C. — President-elect Donald Trump has named Indian-American entrepreneur and technology leader Sriram Krishnan as the Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Sriram Krishnan will serve as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Working closely with David Sacks, Sriram will focus on ensuring continued American leadership in AI and help shape and coordinate AI policy across Government, including working with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Sriram started his career at Microsoft as a founding member of Windows Azure.”

An Accomplished Tech Visionary

Born in Chennai, India, Sriram Krishnan is a prominent Internet entrepreneur, venture capitalist, podcaster, and author. His illustrious career includes leadership roles at Microsoft, X (formerly Twitter), Yahoo!, Facebook, and Snap. Notably, he worked alongside tech magnate Elon Musk during the transformative phase of X, contributing to the platform’s restructuring after Musk’s acquisition.

Krishnan also co-hosts The Aarthi and Sriram Show podcast with his wife, Aarthi Ramamurthy, where they delve into technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Following his appointment, Krishnan expressed his gratitude on X, stating, “I’m honored to be able to serve our country and ensure continued American leadership in AI, working closely with @DavidSacks.”
