Factors to Consider When Choosing a Badminton Court?

1. Flooring Quality and Material

There are 3 factors to look out for when thinking about flooring quality and material. Regardless of if they have rubberized floors or parquet floors, make sure that the floors are :

  • Durable: Badminton is a vigorous sport, so the floors need to be able to withstand the wear and tear of the game.
  • Non-slip: To ensure that you don’t slip and slide frequently, make sure that the floors are made of anti-slip rubber mats.
  • Shock-absorbent: You need to make sure that your joints are receiving enough support while playing, so look out to make sure that the floors are shock absorbent.

2. Ventilation and Lighting

Without the right ventilation and lighting, your game can be severely impacted. Look for courts that have adequate lighting which are anti-glaring and also enough ventilation and fans. Make sure that the fans are located strategically so that it does not meddle with your shuttlecock when playing.

3. Facilities and Amenities

Always pick a court with other facilities and amenities like proper changing or showering area, kiosks or shops that sell you energy drinks or water as well as pro shops that offer stringing services. All these facilities will only add to your convenience when choosing a badminton court in KL or any PJ badminton courts.

4. Accessibility and Location

No one wants to spend time in traffic just commuting to a badminton court. So we suggest that you opt for a court that is either closer to your home or to your workplace. It will definitely save you time and energy!
