What a time to be alive, right? Personally, I find the idea of robots around us very exciting, especially given the growth of AI technology, which is fully capable of easing our lives.
With the immense potential it has, indeed, there will be challenges that we will have to overcome. As a tech geek, it’s inspiring to see intelligent machines take over physically limiting tasks for human beings. Especially in a dangerous setup, these bots will aid us.
However, I am also cautious about being overly optimistic, as with a few other key industry leaders. An article in The Wrap said the arrival of Tesla bots will “likely spark further debate about the rise of AI and how it’ll affect workers in various industries.”
Paul Miller, vice president and principal analyst at research firm Forrester, told Business Insider, “These robots have a wow factor, but they may not have the best form factor for addressing the industry’s dull, dirty, and dangerous tasks.”
To top it off, can Elon Musk ensure that these bots’ production timeline is met? Furthermore, while it is being marketed as ‘affordable,’ can industries really adopt it?
