I don’t know about you, but I grew up eating Pizza Hut. Everything changed when I took my first trip to Italy and coincidentally visited the city of Naples first!
My entire outlook changed as soon as I had the first bite of an Italian pizza. It was a party in my mouth, with a burst of flavour coming from fresh Italian tomatoes and the juiciest and tenderest meat I have ever had.
But this was back in 2022 and every now and then, I do crave to have the same wonderful bite. As much as I wish I could teleport to Italy, I can’t. So in my quest to find the best pizzas in Singapore, I managed to visit these places and taste their pizzas, at the same time, share them with you, so you don’t have to painstakingly research them yourself!
With around 10 options, you will never run out of Italian pizzas to have! Let’s take a look at some of the best pizzas Singapore has to offer.

1. Chooby Pizza
Chooby Pizza is a bustling pizza joint at night and a cafe (Old Hen Kitchen) during the day. I love it because it serves pizzas made in the traditional Naples style.
As one of the best pizzas in Singapore, Chooby’s Pizza is at the top of my list of recommendations because it features a thin, light crust and is usually overloaded with mozzarella and tomato cheese.
Their dough’s natural leavening, which results from a longer fermentation period, also helps since it adds a new flavour depth.
If there are 2 pizzas that I would come back to at Chooby’s, it has to be the Thai-inspired pizza, Spiced Coconut Chicken ($18.50) – mildly spicy, giving you a great culmination of Italian and Thai flavours! Or if you want to stick to the classics, go for their Margherita ($16) that comes with fresh tomato sauce and cheese!
The weird thing is that it is only open for three days a week! Yup, you heard me right – so there’s always a long line of people. Reserve from the link I’ve provided below, and remember there’s a $30 booking fee, so please don’t change your mind!

2. Amò
Aptly named Amò, which means ‘love’, this is definitely the place to take your significant other for a date night. The place is designed and decorated sophisticated, but the food is nothing short of homey Italian cuisine.
Combining all the wonderful flavours of Italy, Amò has some of the best pizzas in Singapore, which are made from extra virgin olive oil, semolina, and natural leaven. Thanks to these ingredients, their pizzas have light and chewy crusts that you actually want to finish!
My favourites here are their signature pizza ($25) that comes with toppings like roasted delica squash, wild garlic pesto, rucola, beluga capers and balsamico. Although vegetarian, I can assure you that it’s finger-licking good! For something meaty, on the other hand, go for their Meat Lover’s Pizza ($35)
Don’t forget to check on what’s happening. To be exact, they have Aperitivamò 1-for-1, Ladies Night and Happy Hour deals happening on different days of the week!

3. Osteria Mozza
Flaunting a Michelin star and headed by a celebrity chef, Osteria Mozza has 10 wood-fired flavours of pizza served fresh everyday.
However, note that these best pizzas in Singapore are only available during lunch and for patrons who dine-in.
So the multi-million dollar question is, is it truly worth a visit? Hell yes! Every chew of the incredibly light base of the pizza is accompanied by a deep, lovely taste after a crisp crunch.
My favourite here has to be their BLT ($38), an inspiration from the American sandwich. If you’d like something more subtle, then stick to the classic Margherita with slow-roasted tomatoes ($34).

4. Wild Child Pizzette
Have you ever tried a fried pizza? I bet not! From the creators of Cicheti, Wild Child Pizzette really lives up to its wild name when it comes to reimagining classic pizzas.
Each pizza measures 10 inches in diameter and is garnished with greens, pickled onions, and bagna cauda. My top pick here is their Spianata Calabrese ($28) topped with tomato sauce and fior di latte, crispy salami, and the sweet heat of Sichuan chili honey.
If you want something light or have some vegetarian friends with you, then go for their Trio Formaggio ($27) topped with the best cheeses! I cannot guarantee that you don’t overeat here, but I can see why exactly Wild Child Pizzette has some of the best pizzas in Singapore.

5. Ristorante Luka
Helmed by two Japanese chefs, LUKA is fast becoming a household name for some of the best pizzas in Singapore. Yes, that was not an error, you read that right!
LUKA serves wood fired pizzas that come in both bianca (white) and rosso (red) pizzas. For the most mind blowing fusion, try their Miso Salmon ($35), topped with a white sauce base, marinated salmon, miso cream, mozzarella cream and fresh onion.
Or, to play it safe (although you really don’t have to!), try The Bismark ($31), which has a tomato foundation and a generous amount of bacon, egg, and oozy mozzarella cheese.
LUKA also has a seasonal menu that changes according to their ability to bring in fresh seasonal produce, so look it up at the website if you’d like to try something new. The current seasonal pizza is Nduja salsiccia pizza ($32) featuring spicy sausage, tomato, mozzarella cheese, onion and basil.

6. La Nonna
It is not surprising that you can get one of the best pizzas in Singapore from La Nonna. Literally translated to ‘The Grandmother, ’ La Nonna is known for serving hearty Italian pizza at its rustic and quaint eatery.
I went for something that was totally different here, the Nera pizza ($25.50), which is a squid ink pizza topped with the freshest seafood like prawns, scallops and calamari! For something more traditional, I would urge you to try their Buratta ($28.50), which comes with Tomato, mozzarella, fresh burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes and basil.
What I also love about La Nonna is their seasonal weekday set lunch menu. For just $28, you can treat yourself to excellent Italian dishes like spaghetti pomodoro, grilled cod or pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese. What a steal! Oh, and finish off your lunch with some Italian gelato and, of course, coffee!

7. Extra Virgin Pizza
Hand-stretched dough with fresh ingredients, soft-grain Italia Caputo 00 flour from Naples – have I gotten your attention yet? Extra Virgin Pizza is the place to be transported straight back to Naples and enjoy one of the best pizzas in Singapore! (Yes, ditch that expensive plane ticket!)
Don’t come at me, but I love having pineapple on my pizza, so I was super glad to discover Aloha’M ($32), a crispy and light base topped with smoked tomato, pineapple slow-cooked under parma ham fat, prosciutto cotto, fior di latte and organic EVOO.
If you’re not a fan, then there are 10 other flavors to explore. For something a little extra, try their Peace Be Ragu ($36) topped with tomato, beef ragu, pork sausage, soppressata. Not a fan of red sauce? Do not worry, they have white base sauces too!
The other best part is that delivery and hosting a party are available! Just contact them through their website to do both!

8. Bella Pizza
Tucked away at Robertson Quay, Bella Pizza has been around for 17 years, serving only the freshest Italian dishes you can think of!
‘Bella’, or ‘beautiful’ in English, has over 24 varieties of pizza. It is also the only place on the list that serves ‘calzone’ pizzas, which are folded pizzas that look very similar to an oversized local curry puff!
Naturally, when I tried Bella’s pizza for the first time, I ordered the prosciutto funghi calzone! It was really well cooked, and I have to say, although the concept is smart, it might be a little adjustment from the traditional pizza!
So then, I had to have a pizza to ensure I hadn’t missed out on their best! As a chorizo fan myself, I had to have the chorizo pizza with a red base with chorizo and mozzarella – it was out of this world! The crusts were crispy and soft, and the pizza came together so well!

9. La Bottega Enoteca
I may have saved the best for last because the pizzas flying out of La Bottega Enoteca just deserve to be savoured!
A former private house dining experience, this restaurant is run by two Italian chefs who have managed to bag the 50 Top Pizza awards in 2022. So it is definitely not a wonder that they have some of what may be the best pizza in Singapore that you can find!
Reservations are definitely needed at least a month in advance as they are always full. As for their menu, the selection of pizzas are kept simple – for cheese lovers, do the Pachino ($58) featuring tomato from Pachino, basil and 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
For something simpler and classic, do their Margherita ($30). Just pay attention, though, that they do have lunch and dinner menus, and the selection of pizzas differs on both menus. They have also warned patrons that because their pizza doughs are handmade, fermented for 72 hours and cooked at 460℃, it may take up to 40 minutes to prepare.

10. Sonny’s Pizza
Ok, I’ll admit that this might be a ‘cheat’ for Sonny’s Pizza to be listed in this guide, but no one (and I guarantee you won’t) would deny that it serves one of the best pizzas in Singapore, hands down!
While most outlets here serve a Neapolitan style pizza, staying true to their Italian heritage, Sonny pays homage to its honorary home, New York! And just like most NY-style pizzas, Sonny’s sells them by the slice instead of a whole pizza.
Now that’s good news because I can try the entire menu without having to chow down a whole pizza or invite 15 people out! They take pride in using the freshest ingredients, like San Marzano tomatoes and custom-made toppings on their 48-hour fermented dough base.
With 6 options on the menu, I went for one slice each to make a whole pizza. But out of the lot, my favourite was I’m Going Green ($8 per slice), featuring bechamel sauce, mixed mushrooms and spinach. For a meaty slice, I definitely loved the pepperoni ($8 per slice) which was topped with a juicy whole slice of pork pepperoni.
Chow down these with some NY-styled side dishes and drinks for that perfect Big Apple vibe!

Conclusion
Now that we’ve eaten our way through ten incredible pizzerias, my heart and tummy are bursting with all the delicious cheesiness!
It is definitely not easy to crown just two of my favourite pizzerias out of the 10 that I visited. But if I really had to choose, my top two would be La Bottega Enoteca and Amò.
With its wood-fired charm, La Bottega Enoteca’s pizzas were chewy, crunchy and crispy with the freshest toppings, full of Italian flair. This establishment is the real deal, which is why it was easily ranked #1 in Asia’s Top 50 Pizzas.
I picked Amo on the other hand because of their fun takes on traditional pizzas. With a light and airy base and elaborate toppings, this is perfect for those who are seeking for unique slices.
With the freshest ingredients and a crispy crust that will make any pizza lover’s heart sing, there are so many options to get some of the best pizzas in Singapore without having to leave the country. We are quite lucky aren’t we?!
