For S$3.00, you can get a small plate of soft and crispy carrot cake. If you find the portion too small, you can upgrade to the other two sizes, which are for S$4.00 and S$5.00, respectively.

Feng Ji Shu Shi Char Kway Teow_ Char Kway Teow

Operating Hours Wed – Sun : 10.00 AM – 9.00 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-48

Feng Ji Shu Shi is another highly crowded stall serving some wok hei char kuey teow at Beauty World Food Centre.

The noodles are fried really well, although some say there’s a bit too much ‘char’ for their liking. A plate of CKT that comes with cockles, egg, and the other usual suspects costs around S$5.00.

Although I love cockles in my CKT, I find that they are not cooked enough in their particular CKT. Nevertheless, it still tastes pretty decent — just minus the raw cockles.

11. You Peng Noodle Dumpling House

You Peng Noodle Dumpling House

Operating Hours Wed – Sun: 10.00 AM – 9.00 PM

There aren’t too many options, but the main four types are Mutton soup, mixed mutton soup, mutton stomach soup, and tendon soup. Each bowl costs between S$8.00 and S$15.00.

Don’t need to go to KL for their Bak Kut Teh, thanks to Feng Xiang Bak Kut Teh at Beauty World Food Centre.

Their herbal BKT (S$6.90), which is from Klang, is one of the crowd favourites here, and so is their fried porridge (S$5.90).

Although extremely aromatic, the taste of the herbal BKT was still quite mild. However, you can’t complain since you can top up the soup if you want more, which is a great deal if you ask me!

15. Top 1 Home Made Noodle: Ban Mian

Top 1 Home Made Noodle_ Ban Mian

Operating Hours Thurs – Tue: 11.00 AM – 6.30 PM

The extremely popular outlet at Beauty World Food Centre that specialises in ban mian, a.k.a pan mee.

I love that you can choose your own soup, noodles, and ingredients. A bowl of ban mian will cost you around S$4.00 to S$5.00.

Despite all these options, the crowd still loved their dry ban mian with a huge dollop of dark sauce. The soup version is also flavourful, so it just depends on your preference.

Whichever you go for, don’t skip their chilli sauce – therein lies the secret punch you need.

16. Blanco Court Fresh Fish Soup: Fried Fish Soup With Milk

Blanco Court Fresh Fish Soup_ Fried Fish Soup With Milk

Operating Hours Open Daily: 10.00 AM – 7.30 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-21

Honestly, this fresh fish soup is another dish that is not so easy to find but thank god for this Blanco Court fresh fish soup stall in Beauty World Food Centre.

I love their fried fish soup with milk. It’s chef’s kiss! The trick is to let the fried fish, and any other fried bits, soak a little while in the soup.

A bowl of this goodness costs around S$5.90. The order is served pretty quickly, so remember to let the bits soak before eating!

17. Osa Kaki Fuyong: Oyster Omelette

A new kid on the block, Osa Kaki Fuyong is run by familiar faces you would have seen at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Osa Kaki serves its ‘Kaki Fuyong’, also known as an oyster omelette, in other combinations, such as a chicken karaage set (S$5.50). You can also get it with salmon or beef (S$7.00).

Many patrons prefer them plain, too. Interestingly, they no longer serve this dish in NAP. So you can definitely still get a bite here.

18. Zheng Xing Desserts: Tau Suan

Zheng Xing Desserts_ Tau Suan

Operating Hours Thu – Tue : 10.00 AM – 4.00 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-58

Tau Suan may not be everyone’s idea of dessert, but it’s definitely a must-try here. This stall offers only four dessert choices, but they do them extremely well.

Their tau suan (S$2.00) is rich but not too thick since their mung beans are just done right. It comes with crispy you tiao, which goes very well together.

They also serve green beans with sago and coconut cream, wheat porridge, and black glutinous rice porridge (S$2.00). All are made not too sweet with great consistency.

19. iBread: Cranberry Scone

iBread_ Cranberry Scone

Operating Hours Open daily: 8.45 AM – 9.15 PM
Location/Lot No. #01-08

It’s weird that a bakery gets so many patrons who queue up for their goods. In Singapore, that just means they are doing something right!

iBread is a regular bakery but one that produces great baked goods. Their most popular item, cranberry scones, are doubtful to the eye thanks to their square shape but oh so tender and crumbly on the inside.

Other crowd favourites include Hong Kong Style Char Siew Biscuit (S$1.80) and shredded bread ($4.50).

20. Khun-Yai Thai Cuisine : Pad Thai

For some spicy Thai goodness, head down to Khun-Yai Thai Cuisine at Beauty World Food Centre.

They offer most Thai dishes for lunch or dinner but are most popular for their Pad Thai (S$5.00). For a simple dish, it tastes very fresh and has just the right amount of ingredients.

Other dishes like deep-fried crispy squid (S$9.00) and green curry are also crowd favourites, as portions are pretty decent for their prices. Go early, as most times, they do get sold out fast.

21. 28 Economical Rice: Braised Pork

28 Economical Rice_ Braised Pork

Operating Hours Open daily: 10.30 AM – 4.00 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-66

28 Economical Stall is pretty standard, but when it comes to taste, I believe they are pretty good. Lunch time is always busy for this stall, and we can see why.

They serve a few types of vegetables and all the meat dishes you would typically find in an economy rice stall. My pick is always their braised pork. You can find a decent amount of meat instead of just fat.

Other dishes are pretty standard, but at prices ranging between S$5.00 and S$10.00 per plate, the food will definitely keep you filled up for the rest of the day.

22. DHABA 1376: Dum Biryani

DHABA 1376_ Dum Biryani

Operating Hours Wed – Mon : 11.00AM – 2.30PM, 5.15PM – 9.15PM
Tue : 5.00 PM – 9.00 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-64

For some delicious Indian cuisine, head over to Dhaba 1376. Their dum biryani with huge chunks of soft chicken (S$10.00) steals the show every time!

Note that it is slightly spicy, so beware before you pour all your curry on it to make it ‘banjir’. It just doesn’t feel right not to pair this meal with their lovely masala tea (S$2.50).

Although a hot beverage, it goes well with the rice. They also serve other North Indian dishes like palak paneer (S$9.00), butter chicken (S$11.50), and, of course, hot and fluffy naans (S$3.00).

23. Joomak: Seafood Pancake

Joomak_ Seafood Pancake

Annyeonghaseyo! If you feel like having Korean, then Joomak has them all. Their most popular dish is their seafood pancake (S$21.90) which is fluffy and delicious thanks to the combination of seafood and green onions!

They also serve hot Kimchi soup (S$15.00) and Jjamppong Stew (S$59.90), to name a few. The only con for me is that it can be a little pricey compared to other dishes at Beauty World Food Centre.

24. YE RI XIANG XIAO CHI: Fried Oyster

YE RI XIANG XIAO CHI_ Fried Oyster

Operating Hours Open daily : 11.00 AM – 7.00 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-19

The aroma coming from this stall is unbelievable. Ye Ri Xiang Xiao Chi serves hot, fresh fried oysters (S$5.00) garnished with spring onions.

What I love about this fried oyster is that they do not hold back on the oysters. In fact, the ratio of eggs to oysters is quite close, making it a well-worthy dish!

They also serve rojak (S$4.00) and carrot cake (S$3.00) if you don’t feel like having their fried oysters.

25. Kuching Lao Gai Mee: Kolo Mee

Kuching Lao Gai Mee_ Kolo Mee

Another gem at Beauty World Food Centre, this is the only stall to serve Kuching Lao Gai Mee and other local Sarawakian dishes.

If you didn’t already know, the only way to eat lao gai mee, also known as kolo mee, is to break the poached egg to get all the gooey goodness and mix the entire bowl up before eating.

A bowl of kolo mee costs S$4.50. Other dishes like Sarawak laksa (S$6.50) and char siu mee (S$5.50) are also available. You can also request add-ons like minced meat, char siu, and fish balls.

26. DON & BENTO: Mentaiko Salmon Don

DON & BENTO_ Mentaiko Salmon Don

Operating Hours Open daily: 12.00 PM – 7.30 PM
Location/Lot No. #04-38

Buta Kin is not the only Japanese stall at Beauty World Food Centre. If you want to skip their line, you can head to Don & Bento.

Here, you will find a good portion of Japanese rice topped with fresh salmon, their Mentaiko Salmon Don (S$6.00), which is quite filling.

If you are not ready for salmon, try their Cheese Gyuniku Don (S$6.50) and Pork Katsu Don (S$5.00). Both dishes are tastefully done, are not too oily and have very good umami-tasting flavours!

27. JIA JIA SHU SHU: Hokkien Mee

JIA JIA SHU SHU_ Hokkien Mee

Operating Hours Open daily: 10.00 PM – 10.00 PM

Anyone craving for Hokkien mee can head over to Jia Jia Shu Shu.

Their plate of hokkien mee (S$5.00) with all the traditional additions like thinly sliced pork belly, bee hoon and yellow noodles are pretty old school and of course delicious!

Those who don’t want their Hokkien mee can go for their char kuey teow (S$5.00), but I have to say it’s a tough fight to like this one versus Feng Ji Shu Shi’s Char Kway Teow

28. Yogiyo Korean Restaurant: Marinated Raw Crab

Location/Lot No. #04-03

For a more economical option of Korean food, head over to Yogiyo. Surprisingly, they offer rare Korean dishes like marinated raw crab and bossam (S$20.00)

Bossam is a dish of thick slices of braised pork served with complimentary banchan or sides like vegetables, rice, soup, and so on.

Their marinated raw crab, also known as Ganjang Gejang ($45.00), is a whole crab that comes with several side dishes, including stew, rice, egg rolls, kimchi, and a meat dish. The crab is also marinated in soy sauce!

Pink Candy was viral at some point in time. They are also another Korean food serving stall at Beauty World Food Centre.

You can find all the common dishes here, such as Pancakes ($14.90), Kimchi Fried Rice ($8.90), Cold Noodles ($9.90), and Bibimbap ($8.90).

Their 9-piece chicken wings are also quite juicy and spicy (S$14.90). However, their quality has recently dwindled, with most patrons noting that they may have changed their previous chef.

30. Mentai SENS

Mentai SENS_

Operating Hours Wed – Mon : 10.30 AM – 2.30 PM, 5.00 PM – 9.30 PM

Tue : 5.00 PM – 9.30 PM

Location/Lot No. #04-60

Who doesn’t want some solid and cheap Japanese food? Head over to Mentai SENS for just that.

They offer rice bowls starting from S$5.50. My top pick is their Ebi Tama Don. The bowl has three pieces of tempura prawn and an egg on rice. You can also add Potato Croquettes (S$1.60) and Corn (S$0.50) to your bowl.

You could do their udon bowls with toppings if you don’t feel like having rice. The udon noodles are fried with yakisoba sauce that adds to the overall flavour.

I believe the crowd’s favourite seems to be its Cheese Toriniku Don (S$6.50), which comes with nacho cheese sauce and melted cheese.
