VivoCity Food List 20 Restaurants in VivoCity for Good Food

VivoCity is the largest shopping mall in Singapore. This mall is home to about 150 cafes and restaurants.

It’s stressful to find excellent food among the plethora of restaurants.

That’s why I have compiled a list of the 20 best VivoCity foods so you can be free from frustration about where to eat and start making decisions more quickly.

I have tried and tested these restaurants to ensure you have the best dining experience.

In addition to that, these restaurants also have an average Google Review rating of 4.5 stars.

20 Restaurants With The Best Food in VivoCity

1. Encik Tan

Encik Tan

Singaporean | Halal | SGD 1-10

  • Mee Pok Fishball Noodles – A flavorful noodle dish with fishballs and a spicy sauce
  • Curry Chicken Cutlet Rice – Tender chicken cutlet served with fragrant curry sauce and steamed rice
  • Wanton Noodle – Egg noodles topped with savoury wantons and a tasty broth

Encik Tan is a VivoCity halal food. Encik Tan’s concept is about having Singaporean Muslims enjoy popular local food prepared with Halal ingredients.

It is the best food in VivoCity for any meal of the day, especially the Mee Pok Fishball Noodles. I ordered it and added a big fishcake and lime juice.

Tips: Add more chilli and black vinegar. You won’t regret it.

Not only was the food tasty, but it was also cheap and in reasonable portions that will fill you up quite well.

Besides, this location is a good choice when the nearby food court is overcrowded, and you can’t find a seat. Encik Tan’s outlet is quite large, with plenty of seating available.

2. Barossa Steak & Grill

Barossa Steak & Grill

Australian | Non-Halal | SGD 30-40

  • Australia Grass-Fed Beef Tenderloin – A succulent cut of tender and rich flavour beef
  • Blackened Tasmanian Salmon – Tasmanian salmon fillet coated in flavorful spices and seared to perfection
  • Truffle Parmesan Fries – Crispy fries drizzled with truffle oil and sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.

Barossa Steak & Grill offers the best food in VivoCity for high-quality classic Australian cuisine. Its speciality among the menu’s various options is steaks and other Josper grilled dishes.

I had the Australia Grass-Fed Beef Tenderloin and requested medium well. I also had the option of choosing one sauce, so I went with the Black Pepper Butter sauce.

It was amazing. The beef was incredibly juicy, buttery, and tender.

I dare say that its food quality is almost the same as that of some of the best steak restaurants in Singapore.

The sauce had a unique flavour. It tasted creamy and savoury with a hint of tanginess and a spicy kick.

There was a live band, which made conversation challenging. I had to take a seat far from the band.

Overall, I will return.

3. Bulgogi Syo

Bulgogi Syo

 Korean | Non-Halal | SGD 20-30
  • Wagyu Tteokgalbi – Wagyu ground meat with onions, kimchi, and other veggies and accompanied with Gochujang sauce.

  • Duroc Pork Belly – Succulent pork belly with meat and fat combination that also comes with egg and kimchi.

  • Spicy Cheesy Chicken – Chicken with a combination of spicy homemade gochujang sauce and cheese.

Bulgogi Syo is a Korean BBQ restaurant and one of many VivoCity Korean food restaurants.

This is one of the best VivoCity food because it is different from any other BBQ restaurant. Here, it introduces the first-ever 3-step grilling from Korea and a Flambé show at your table.

  • SEAR – The cuts of meat are seared to perfection on hotstone pans that are custom-made in Korea to preserve their natural juices and flavours.
  • TORCH – Then, the meat will be torched at temperatures as high as 1,400 degrees to achieve a delicious char and smokiness on the exterior.
  • FLAMBÉ – Lastly, the meats are served on individual hotstone plates, drenched in the Special Essence, and you will see fire ablaze right in front of your eyes.

I’m not a fan of pork, so I ordered a beef-based menu, the Wagyu Tteokgalbi. It is a premium Wagyu ground meat with onions, kimchi and other veggies.

The dish also came with Gochujang sauce (Korean chilli sauce) for dipping.

It was great. The menu said that the meat guaranteed a melt-in-your-mouth experience, and it kept its promise.

The veggies were also fresh and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy for me.

Unfortunately, not all dishes are included in the Flambé show. Just the one labelled “Flambé” on the menu only.

4. Mamma Mia! Trattoria E Caffe

Mamma Mia! Trattoria E Caffe

 Italian | Halal | SGD 20–30
  • Linguine cream sauce – Linguine pasta coated in a rich and creamy sauce

  • Mushroom soup – Creamy and thick soup with mushroom, croutons and a sprinkle of herbs

  • Truffle fries – French fries with seasoned Truffle oil and with grated Parmesan on top.

Mamma Mia! Trattoria E Caffe is another VivoCity halal food. It serves up a wide variety of Italian dishes by the sea view.

I had mushroom soup, A&W Root beer, Truffle fries and Linguine Cream Sauce. The best food was the soup and pasta, which tasted better than I had tasted before elsewhere.

I really recommend you try mushroom soup. Once you’ve tasted this one, you’ll never want to settle for other mushroom soup.

The soup was creamy and thick. Apart from just mushrooms in the soup, there were sliced bread or croutons and a sprinkle of herbs.

The pasta was coated in a rich, savoury and creamy sauce. There were also mushrooms and crushed nuts sprinkled on top.

Truffle fries tasted good and had the truffle taste with grated Parmesan on top. However, they weren’t as good as PS Cafe and Marc at East Coast Park.

They even have charging sockets, which is great for people to stay and do work.

This might not be the best Italian restaurant in Singapore, but for its price range, it’s definitely worth it.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience that was worth the price.

5. Monster Curry

Monster Curry

 Japanese | Non-Halal | SGD 20–30
  • Chicken Katsu Curry – Crispy chicken cutlet with Signature Demi-Glace, fresh cabbage topped with sesame sauce and red pickled ginger

  • Pork Katsu Curry – Crispy pork cutlet with Signature Demi-Glace Curry, fresh cabbage topped with sesame sauce and red pickled ginger

Monster Curry is one of the best VivoCity Japanese food restaurants. It is well-known for its demi-glace curry rice with various assortment to choose from.

Their Signature Demi-Glace Curry is also unique as it is a dark and rich brown sauce made by cooking roasted caramel for up to 5 hours. You can also select your curry’s spicy level from zero to five, with five being named ‘Monster’.

I ordered Chicken Katsu Curry with level 2 spice, and it was delicious. The ratio of rice to chicken was ideal.

The chicken katsu was golden-brown and crispy. It has been cut into strips so that eating is simple.

Although its food might not be of the same quality as the best Japanese restaurants in Singapore, it’s still scrumptious for the average taste bud.

The aromatic, thick and brown demi-glace curry surrounded the chicken and rice. However, the level 2 spice did not feel as spicy as I had expected, possibly due to my high spice tolerance.

There was also fresh cabbage topped with sesame sauce and red pickled ginger on one side of the plate.

6. Belle-Ville Pancake & Coffee

Belle-Ville Pancake & Coffee

 Japanese | Non-Halal | SGD 10–20
  • Millefeuille Pancake – Soft souffle pancakes with ice cream toppings and golden maple syrup drizzle

  • Matcha Millefeuille Pancake – Soft matcha souffle pancakes with ice cream toppings and golden maple syrup drizzle

  • Hot Sandwich Ham & Cheese – Freshly baked and hot aromatic sandwich with ham & cheese fillings

Belle-Ville Pancake & Coffee is a souffle pancake cafe from Osaka, Japan. This place serves amazing pancakes.

Don’t underestimate them as they are out of this world. They’re simply soft, bouncy, and fluffy, with an eggy taste.

It was so tasty that you could simply just order plain pancakes and eat them on their own.

I ordered the pancakes with toppings of vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. I think that is sufficient as I’m afraid the other version like mangoes or bananas, can overpower the pancake flavour.

This place can be considered a suitable VivoCity food for breakfast/brunch or tea time because other than pancakes, there are also sandwiches, parfait and coffees.

7. Poulét

Poulét

 French | Halal | SGD 20–30
  • Signature Roasted Chicken with Mushroom Sauce – Tender roasted chicken drenched in mushroom sauce

  • Mushroom soup – Thick and creamy mushroom soup with croutons

Another best food in VivoCity is Poulét. It’s a modern French-themed bistro serving affordable signature French classics like The French Roast Chicken and The Salad De Paris.

I ordered the Signature Roasted Half Chicken with Mushroom Sauce and two sides: salad and pasta. It tasted great.

The chicken was perfectly roasted on the outside and tender on the inside, soaking up the richness of the mushroom sauce. The pasta and salad, which was a mix of olives, lettuce, onions and tomatoes, were also delicious.

I also ordered mushroom soup, which was excellent. Even the expensive Michelin restaurant cannot compete with their mushroom soup quality in my opinion.

Poulét’s mushroom soup is a close fight with Mamma Mia!’s.

8. Ya Kun Kaya Toast

Ya Kun Kaya Toast

 Singaporean | Non-Halal | SGD 10–20
  • Kaya Butter Toast Set – A set of crispy toast with kaya and butter fillings, soft-boiled eggs and a cup of hot coffee

  • Rendang Chicken Toastwich – Two slices of soft white bread with flavourful chicken rendang fillings

Ya Kun Kaya Toast is one of the best food in VivoCity if you’re craving kaya toast.

I had the Kaya Butter Toast Set, and it was amazing! The bread was crispy and had a deliciously sweet kaya and tasty butter filling.

The set also included a soft-boiled egg and a cup of hot coffee. If you prefer, you can upgrade your coffee to iced coffee.

I also tried the chicken rendang toastwich, which was excellent. The chicken rendang was thick and flavorful and was not spicy.

The prices were fairly reasonable. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

9. Awfully Chocolate

awfully chocolate

 Singaporean | Non-Halal | SGD 10–20
  • Chocolate Ice Cream – A single scoop of chocolate ice cream put into a sophisticated small black container

  • 70 Chocolate drink – Thick, rich and creamy chocolate drink served in a glass

Awfully Chocolate is a chocolate-based VivoCity food. From drinks, cakes, desserts, ice creams, and truffles, all the menus here are chocolate.

I ordered chocolate ice cream and the 70% dark chocolate drink for my tea time as I was still full from lunch.

The chocolate ice cream was excellent. It had a strong chocolate flavour without being overly sweet or heavy.

The 70% dark chocolate drink tasted great, too — it had a thick texture and creamy taste with deep roasted flavour and fruity notes.

My experience was great. It was exactly what I expected from a chocolate speciality cafe!

The place is quite small, so it could get uncomfortable when the shop is crowded.

10. The Providore

the providore

 Cafes | Non-Halal | SGD 20–30
  • Grilled Ham & Cheese Toastie – Generous portions of emmental cheese and smoked ham stacked in between lovely layers of sourdough, a runny fried egg and grilled zucchini

  • Lobster Mac & Cheese – Pastificio dei Campi pasta with poached lobster, shaved fennel & fresh dill, baked in a light cheese sauce

  • Crab Linguini Pasta – Pastificio dei Campi pasta with sustainable spanner crab, sundried tomato, bird’s eye chilli, fresh basil & extra virgin olive oil

It was my first time visiting here. I went on tea time for iced coffee and a grilled ham & cheese sandwich thinking that it was just a coffee shop.

This is another one of the best food in VivoCity for any meal of the day. I was surprised that the menu serves a wide range of food, from breakfast toasts, freshly baked bread and pastries, pasta, rice, desserts, coffees, teas, and so much more, including a wide selection of cheese.

The interior is lovely, and the tables are well-spaced. This restaurant also welcomes dogs, but only in the outdoor area.

Most importantly, the coffee was fresh and tasty. The grilled ham and cheese also included generous portions of double-smoked ham, a fried egg, cheese, tomato, and red peppers, which can fill you up if you’re slightly hungry.

I will return to try their other dishes. Their lobster mac and cheese and crab linguine pasta looked delicious.

11. PUTIEN

PUTIEN

 Fujian | Non-Halal | SGD 30–40
  • Stir-fried Yam – Golden brown yam pieces with sliced onions and green chillies

  • Deep Fried Chicken with Garlic – Deep fried chicken generously coated with golden-brown garlic crumbs and garnished with herbs

  • Sweet and Sour Pork with Lychees – Fried golden brown pork with plump lychees and vegetables

PUTIEN is a VivoCity food serving Fujian cuisine. This restaurant has received six consecutive Michelin Guide Singapore from 2016 to 2022.

I ordered deep-fried chicken with garlic, sweet and sour pork with lychees and stir-fried yam.

The chicken was nicely and perfectly fried, with crispy skin and juicy insides. The pork was delicious with crispy batter and tender meat and tasted not too sweet.

The yam was also great. They were crispy on the outside but dense and tasty on the inside.

Everything was excellent, from service to food. No wonder the six Michelin awards.

12. Waa Cow

Waa Cow

 Japanese | Non-Halal | SGD 30–40
  • Original Wagyu Beef – Crispy golden brown Wagyu beef on a bed of rice with an egg and an in-house soy-based beef sauce.

  • Mentaiko Wagyu Beef – Wagyu beef torched with special beef sauce, drizzled with in-house Mentaiko mayonnaise, served on a bed of rice accompanied with an egg and an in-house soy-based beef sauce.

  • Teriyaki Chicken Don – Chicken thigh marinated in a premium dark soy-dashi broth and topped with in-house truffle sauce, served over a bed of Japanese rice with an onsen egg.

Waa Cow is another VivoCity Japanese food. What makes Waa Cow special from other Japanese restaurants is that all the food is rice-based and served in bowls.

I ordered the Original Wagyu Beef with Chicken Karaage set. The set included wagyu beef and egg over a bed of rice, three pieces of fried chicken, and a can of green tea.

Although the wagyu was tender and thinly sliced, it would be better if it were thicker. The dish was also flavourful, thanks to the beef sauce.

The green tea was refreshing, and the fried chicken was crispy. In terms of price, Waa Cow is pricier than other places, but the serving size was worth it.

  • Pigs in Blankets – Pork sausages wrapped with bacon and served with whisky mustard sauce

  • Warm Chocolate Pudding – Moist warm chocolate pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, raspberries and blueberries

  • The Queen’s English Breakfast – Hearty all day breakfast with back bacon, pork sausage, haggis, roasted vine tomatoes, fried eggs, mushy peas and grilled ciabatta

The Queen & Mangosteen is the best food in Vivocity for British cuisine. There is a wide selection of menus here suitable for breakfast to dinner, such as The Queen’s English Breakfast, Snapper Fish & Chips, Cheesy Truffle Fries and many more.

This was my first visit with a friend and overall, the portion of the food was great for sharing.

We ordered the Pigs in Blankets. It was pork sausages wrapped with bacon and with whisky mustard sauce for dipping.

It was great! The saltiness of the bacon and the sourness of the mustard sauce balanced each other out.

We also ordered warm chocolate pudding for dessert. It was sweet and so tasty!

The moist and soft warm pudding with the cold vanilla ice cream gave my taste buds a joyous experience.

14. Seafood Paradise

Seafood Paradise

  • Supreme Seafood Fried Rice – Flavourful fried rice with a mix of succulent seafood and garnished with vibrant toppings

  • Cheese Bacon Roll in BBQ Sauce – Cheese bacon rolls generously glazed with a rich BBQ sauce

This is the best food in VivoCity if you enjoy seafood. Various seafood is available, including live fresh crabs, lobsters, fish, clams, oysters, prawns, and more.

There are also main courses like fried rice and noodles and meat options like roast pork, chicken, beef, and vegetables. There is something for everyone to enjoy here, although the price is a bit higher.

I ordered the Supreme Seafood Fried Rice and the Cheese Bacon Roll in BBQ Sauce.

The fried rice was okay and packed with prawns and scallops, while the bacon rolls were juicy and succulent, each generously glazed with BBQ sauce.

Overall, I had a great seafood experience despite the slightly expensive price.

15. Tai Cheong Bakery

Tai Cheong Bakery

 Snacks | Non-Halal | SGD 1–10
  • Egg Tart – The original egg tart

  • Pandan Egg Tart – Egg tart with pandan

  • Durian& Cheese Egg Tart – Egg tart with durian and cheese

  • Coconut Egg Tart – Egg tart with coconut

Tai Cheong Bakery is a place if you like egg tarts. There are 5 choices of egg tarts here: Original, Pandan, Durian & Cheese, and Coconut.

I ordered 4 tarts, one of each flavour. The Durian & Cheese egg tart had D24 in it, making it a little sweet, and the cheese portion was generous.

The Coconut egg tart was chewy and moist, unlike other often dry tarts. The Original tart was my favourite, with its smooth texture and balanced sweetness and the Pandan one was also delicious.

Other than egg tarts, there are buns and cakes such as Char Siu Bolo Bun, Coconut & Cream Bun, Pandan Chiffon Cake, and Radish Cake.

El Fuego

 European | Halal | SGD 30–40
  • Australian Black Angus Beef Short Ribs – 12-hour slow-cooked, herb marinated

  • Cheese Cake – Burnt basque cheese cake

  • Chocolate Royal – Dark chocolate mousse cake with chocolate chip

  • Porcini Mushroom Pasta – Tagliatelle, porcini mushroom ragout, puffed wild rice, padano cheese

El Fuego serves European cuisine. On top of that, it is a VivoCity halal food.

El Fuego has won the Best Halal Restaurant in the Halal Awards 2020 and 2022, and Best Steak at the Halal Awards 2022.

I came with a group of friends. So, we ordered a shared dish of 12-hour slow-cooked Australian Black Angus Beef Short Ribs.

It was S$108, but the succulent and melt-in-your-mouth beef coupled with the beef sauce justifies the price. It was very delicious and worth it.

We also ordered some delicious desserts, such as the burnt cheesecake and Chocolate Royal, which is a dark chocolate mousse cake with chocolate chip.

The cheesecake was soft and creamy, and the bottom crust felt like a biscuit. That contrasted with the texture of the soft cake.

The Chocolate Royal was rich and velvety with a generous coating of chocolate glaze.

Overall, I will return.

17. Nong Geng Ji

Nong Geng Ji

Hunan | Non-Halal | SGD 20–30

  • Stir-fried pork – with abalone, egg with beancurd, stir-fried cauliflower

Nong Geng Ji is the best food in VivoCity serving Hunan cuisine. Nong Geng Ji also cooks using traditional Hunan-style techniques and fresh local Hunan ingredients.

I had stir-fried pork with abalone, egg with beancurd, and cauliflower. It was very tasty, and the tiny abalone pieces were fresh and easy to chew.

I was quite taken aback by the egg with beancurd, which was incredibly smooth and easily went down my throat. The added pork lard enhanced the dish with wonderful flavour, and the cauliflower itself was good too and tasted homey.

The ingredients felt very fresh! Overall, very happy! Worth a shot.

18. Stuff’d

Stuff’d

 Mexican Turkish | Halal | SGD 1–10
  • Kebab

  • Burrito

  • Quesadilla

Stuff’d is another VivoCity halal food. It is similar to Subway, but instead of sandwiches, Stuff’d serves Mexican and Turkish cuisine such as kebab, burritos, and quesadilla.

I had a chicken and beef kebab here.

There are two choices of bread which are the normal one and the wholemeal one. I chose the normal one.

For the main, I had the ultimate chicken/beef, which is a mix of chicken and beef.

For vegetables, there are 5 choices: lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. I had lettuce and onions only.

For sauces, there are also 5 choices: Yuzu Sesame, Wasabi Mayo, Habanero, Honey Mustard, and Sweet Thai Sauce. I chose honey mustard and Thai sauce.

I also added cheese for additional toppings.

It was delicious. The chicken/beef had a slightly smokey taste, the sauce combination didn’t taste weird, and the veggies were okay, too.

The portions and price of the food here are both reasonable. It’s highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for a quick bite.

  • Prawn Dumpling Shrimp Ramen – Ramen in shrimp broth with three pieces of prawn dumpling on top and vegetables

  • Crispy Chicken Cutlet Tonkotsu Ramen – Ramen in tonkotsu broth with a side dish of crispy chicken cutlet

Le Shrimp Ramen serves the best food in VivoCity for a fusion of Chinese-Japanese cuisine. The specialities are their two broths: shrimp broth and tonkotsu (pork bone) broth.

I had the Big Prawn Shrimp Ramen, and it was excellent. The noodles had a satisfying chew to them.

The shrimp broth was aromatic and well-balanced in terms of sweetness and umami. The two prawns’ sizes also matched the dish’s name as well.

I also enjoy the interior design that successfully combines Japanese and Chinese elements.

  • Original White Beehoon – Beehoon soaked in a thick, rich broth with vegetables, seafood and eggs

  • Mala White Beehoon – Beehon soaked in a spicy broth with vegetables, seafood and eggs

  • Salted Egg Sotong – Salted octopus egg

White Restaurant is known for the Original Sembawang White Beehoon that has served Singapore since 1999. The dish consists of rice vermicelli soaked in a thick, rich broth with vegetables, seafood, and eggs.

I was here to try out the hyped white beehoon. It tasted really authentic, and the wok hei was just perfect.

I added their chilli sauce and it definitely elevated the entire dish.

There is also a mala version of the white beehoon. My friend ordered it but it was just okay.

The original one was better.
